Description

Our original natural Straddie Zinc cream, made right here on Straddie, is made with all natural ingredients and contains 25% zinc oxide.  The organic cocoa butter gives it a yummy rich chocolate fragrance.   Coloured wth organic cacao.  The whole family will love it!

Having lived at Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island for over 25 years and making natural skincare for much of that time, it was only natural to progress to making a zinc cream.  Living at the beach it was important to develop a cream that would nourish and protect your skin and meet the needs of a Straddie lifestyle.

Back in October 2017, sitting around the table with our friends from the North Stradbroke Island Surf School we talked about making a Straddie Zinc.  After researching, tweaking and testing by family and friends, the final result is the tinted zinc oxide cream on offer here in our store.

We have now added two new Straddie Zincs to the range.

What our customers have to say about our Straddie Zinc –

“💕 Fantastic protection from the sun, used it the other day. Hubby used standard sunscreen and he ended looking like a tomato!  Your natural zinc is far better than anything else I have ever used.”

“I love that natural Straddie Zinc.  I love that my face feels moisturised instead of dry after a day at the beach.”

“The Nourish Naturally Zinc Cream is wonderful, we love it!”

“I love the smell of it too …chocolate 😋”

Why a Zinc Cream?  Zinc oxide is an odorless white powder that naturally occurs in the mineral zincite.  It is insoluble in water providing a number of practical uses.  Commonly used in foods, first-aid tapes, pigments and personal products.  A well known absorber of the full UV spectrum of sun rays, both short UVB to long UVA.  The perfect ingredient for a natural sun block and known to have soothing effects widely used against skin irritations.  Often one of the key active ingredients in many baby powders and nappy rash creams.   Zinc oxide forms a protective barrier on the skin to help treat and prevent various skin conditions including nappy rash, insect bites, and minor skin irritations.
What about an SPF rating?  The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) regulates sunscreens in Australia.  To obtain an SPF rating sunscreens have to be manufactured in a TGA recognised factory.  As our Zinc Cream is handmade there are no therapeutic claims made or intended for this product.
Warning and disclaimer: If you have sensitive skin and suffer with allergic reactions please try a patch test first, particularly when using a face cream. Even with naturally derived ingredients, some people may develop an allergic reaction.  Please discontinue use if you experience discomfort or other indications that the product may not be appropriate for you.

Straddie Zinc is a registered trademark and subsidiary of Nourish Naturally.

What an amazing product!!! Goes on so well and doesn’t look ridiculous like other zincs that have crazy colouring in them! You smell like chocolate and stay sun safe!
