Cold Process Soap Making Workshop


Learn how to make cold process natural soap from scratch in the comfort of your own home. Julie has been making soap since 2002 and will walk you through the entire soapmaking process, step-by-step from the time you open your kit.  See full list of ingredients supplied in the kit below.  There are a few things that you will need to supply but most things you will have in your kitchen cupboards or hubby’s workshop.  We do offer some of the equipment as an option to buy if you don’t have it at home.

Make your selection from the options below for your choice of essential oils and clays.   You will need two essential oils and two different clays to make two different batches of soap.  This will make 16 bars of soap.

The perfect Beginners Cold Process Soap Making Workshop brought to your door! That’s right, your very own natural soap making class with follow along videos.  Julie has been making soap since 2002 and shares lots of tips and tricks that she’s learnt along the way.

The list of ingredients and equipment needed to make soap can be intimidating to the beginner soapmaker.  So we’re really excited to be able to bring you our Beginners Soap Making Kit with follow along online video tutorials where we’ll walk you through the entire soapmaking process, step-by-step from the time you open your kit.  This natural soap making kit comes with a fabulous reusable silicone mold and some beautiful ingredients such as shea butter, avocado oil and essential oils.  Enough to make 16 bars of cold process soap.  Most of the equipment you will have in your kitchen and and once you have your kit and follow along with the tutorials you will see that it is not too hard to make soap at home in your kitchen.  As well as the link to our online video tutorials you will also receive a printed workbook with full instructions.


We start with a basic one colour exfoliating soap and then move onto a swirled soap using natural mineral clays for colour.  I’ll discuss creating your own recipes, the different oils you can use in soap, swirling techniques, essential oils and colour options as we go along.

What you will need at home:

3 plastic jugs                                          Electronic kitchen scales

Stainless steel spoons                             Silicone or plastic spatula

Protective clothing                                  Electric stick blender

Thermometer (option to buy)                   Paper towel

Safety Goggles (option to buy)

Plastic or vinyl tablecloth/covering to protect your bench

Caustic Soda  – As caustic soda is classed as a dangerous substance we are unable to send in the post, however a 500g tub is easily obtainable from Coles, Bunnings or other retail outlets for under $5
